Welcome back to the Solidarity podcast

where we share stories to connect with one another, find comfort in life’s challenges & to celebrate the solidarity that is, being a woman.

Season two y’all. I’m so happy you’re here. So let’s jump right in because I am bringing some heat and some truth today.

We are under attack.

Generational trauma is surfacing.

Our mental health is in a chokehold.

Our physical health is deteriorating as we continually give it up to those with evil intentions. We can only do with what we have. And most days it feels impossible.

Like how are we supposed to get out of a system that we didn’t even realize was put in place to trap us?

But God knew.

And Satan wants nothing more than for us to be in despair. To think he is winning. To give up. To throw in the towel & admit defeat.

But we were made for more than that.

We were made for such a time as this.

God knew that we were going to go through it and He said “ya. I can handle that.”

So if you feel like you can’t handle this. All of the crazy. The deep crap. That’s okay. You weren’t supposed to.

All of this that we’re experiencing, it often feels too much and that is because it is too much.

And most people will tell you that but then they won’t tell you what to do next. Because what are you supposed to do when the world is literally falling apart?

Jesus.

Call on Jesus.

I promise you it is that simple.

He gives us the tools. He gives us the armor of God AND the strength to put it on AND the determination to carry it out. He gives it all- He gave it all and there is not a catch.

Put the hard down.

Put the hurt down.

Put the expectations down.

God will provide exactly what you need.

When you need it.

How you need it.

And He will go above and beyond with the blessings that you won’t feel like you deserve, because you don’t- but He’ll still give them to you because He’s a good, loving, generous God who loves to give good gifts.

I know the world feels insane right now and it does, but you can take comfort that the world is not our home and the sooner you start focusing on your eternal home the better off you will find life on earth is.

I get scared.

I have been scared and anxious and a wreck lately.

The world is heavy.

But remember who is in charge and that He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it. Your fear isn’t too big for God. Your anger isn’t too much for Him. Your weariness isn’t too heavy.

He’s not going to send you out into battle and leave you to fend for yourself.

He’s got you.

Sometimes it feels like you’re leaning on His shoulder and sometimes it feels like a free fall until you get to Him- but He will catch you if you put your faith and trust in Him and His will for you to spend eternity with Him in peace & joy.

I know I’ve done a lot of preaching but let me back down for a second and explain.

I’ve been exhausted by the last few years. I’ve, we’ve, lived through something that we could have never imagined to live through.

And ya know what? I’ve wanted to throw in the towel a lot.

I started this podcast out of a place of longing for connection and for stories to be shared and to not feel so alone. And the reality is, that yes, our stories are important to foster connection- to find solidarity in the hard stuff and to be a testament to what God is doing in our lives- that’s super important.

But our stories, without understanding our foundation and taking them in while focusing on the bigger picture and the plan for redemption- mean nothing. They’re just stories that faded in and will fade out. Dust to dust. Our stories die with our bodies. And unless we’re using them with purpose they’re worthless. And you’re not worthless. I’m not worthless. God gave us a whole heck of a lot of worth when He gave us himself- both in our image and in our salvation plan.

I see how many of you- even the strongest of you- are breaking under the weight of the pressure of the world right now and ya know what?

God says no more.

We will not be broken when Jesus already was broken for this.

I was having a hard time figuring out where this second season was going. I have some beautiful stories from beautiful people I’m excited to share but as I wrestled with my mind and God and got in a stance of show me, use me- in the shower, naturally- God made it clear to me that we’re under attack and we need to get back to basics. We need to learn how to put on the armor of God and how to fight through our days to give the glory back to Him, to model his love to others and how to truly live in peace instead of suffer in the darkness that this world is engulfed in.

The kingdom is not in trouble, but we do have to be alert and on guard and be using the tools that God has given us.

These last few months on my break were a lot. A LOT happened. Stuff I can’t even fully get into, but when I tell you that I didn’t want to come back for this season- I mean it. Now that I know what God wants us to talk about, I know why that spiritual warfare was so real.

But not today Satan. We ain’t letting him win.

We’re going back to scripture.

Back to the Gospel.

Back to remembering what God has given us and how to utilize it.

We’re still going to share stories but we’re really going to look at the why behind the situations that God allows us to experience rather than simply lamenting in them and accepting that we all go through crap.

You can’t have a message without a mess, but we oftentimes get so caught up in relaying the mess that we forget to ever get to the message.

I’m grateful for those of you who will stick around this season as we explore and see what God has for us.

We are under attack but the war has already been won.

We know who wins.

His victory was already claimed when Jesus rose from the dead.

No weapon formed against us will prosper.

We are going to delight in the law of the Lord and meditate on it day and night so that we can go out into the world and know exactly who’s we are and where we stand.

No weapon formed against us will prosper.

No weapon formed against us will prosper.

Thank you so much for listening in this week, If you’d like to share your story, shoot me an email or DM. You can follow me on Instagram @riley_quin which is where I hang out the most. If you feel called to, please share with a woman who you know needs to be strengthened and encouraged. And as I have been on a hiatus for awhile it would mean the world if you’d leave a podcast review on Apple podcasts as a way to get me back into the groove of things on this crazy algorithm we’re all fighting. Thanks again & be sure to check back next Wednesday for a new episode!

As always, I’m so glad you’re here. You’re wanted, needed and loved. I see you, I hear you and you my love, by the grace of God, you are enough.
