Fun Fall Foods

I know, I know, I am making a LOT of fall content. I’m aware it seems very “basic”. But give me this one, I have always loved fall, way before it was popular to like fall. Fall is a magical time for me where my soul comes alive. I’m recharged from the summer and during the fall I get extremely creative and I enjoy watching the dead fall away and reveal the beaut within. I love the movies and the food and the colors that come up with fall. It’s beautiful and so comforting. As we speak I’m watching “You’ve Got Mail” and my favorite quote is

“Don't you love New York in the fall? It makes me want to buy school supplies. I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils if I knew your name and address.” - Nora Ephron

I’m obviously not in New York but it’s my favorite city and in the fall, it’s truly magical. Fall in a sense, is the time that I get to live in my favorite place vicariously through the season itself and the nostalgia that it brings me. Part of that nostalgia is food; comfort food.

Hot soups, warm sauces and lots of pumpkin- nothing makes my soul smile more. As an added bonus Dustin is a fantastic cook and recently he’s been experimenting with all of my favorite flavors and it’s been pure bliss. I figured it would be fun to share some of my favorites he’s made as well as a few of my own personal recipes that I love for your own enjoyment. I know I’m always looking for inspiration because the usual meals get old. I hope you enjoy!
